It was beautiful all weekend here. The temperatures were in the high 70s and 80s both days so we practically lived outside. On Saturday we went on a bike ride around Berkeley and Oakland, then on Sunday we went to a swimming hole up north.

There are a few good swimming holes around the Bay area. The one we went to is in Lagunitas, a small town north of San Francisco. I love that drive – Sir Frances Drake Blvd to Point Reyes – with all the windy roads and trees. It’s just good for the soul. We went to the Ink Wells, a swimming hole hidden underneath a bridge in the woods. As soon as we got down there and let Keeper off the leash, she immediately jumped off the rocks into the deepest part of the swimming hole. Trey described her as “Dennis the Menace-level crazy”. Keep is pumped on life, all the time. She has two modes: Keeper and Diet Keeper. Diet Keeper doesn’t come out until after she’s been ran/hiked/swam out. She’s a goober. Anyway, we hung out there for a while, then decided to get some food and drinks at the Lagunitas Brewery.
We sat outside and listened to this local blue grass band while some kids played with Jack and Keep. I got the cappuccino stout, which is basically the milk of beer. Trey had a flight. And that was all she wrote. Now we’re home and about to watch Game of Thrones. Update: Omg! I don’t want to spoil anything, but YAY!
Happy Monday!
